Any one make a Epic DuskBlade progression? [Archive] - Wizards Community

01-21-08, 07:40 PM I play a Duskblade and love the class but since i reached lvl 22 i have no clue what to do with him espicaly as its such a mixed class to begin with. Should i continue to get new spell levels? or focus on fighting, any ideas?

01-21-08, 08:41 PM I generally suggest to duskblades that they either prestige into spellsword or take levels in wizard for more versatility in casting.

01-21-08, 09:55 PM I think I ask my DM if he will allow me to continue progressing my spells (1 new slot per 4 levels), quick casts(1 every 5 lvls) and that spell penatration at there regular intervals as they have a set pattern. I’m not really interested in wizard levels starting over with level 0 1 2 3 ect spells would be a bore for the next 10 or so levels. It may need some nerfing but id like to work towards higher spells.

Just have your DM select a limited list of touch, weapon enhancing, mobility and defensive spells along with a few ranged touch of level 7, 8 and 9.

Continue the Quick cast and Spell Power progressions (every 5th and 7th level respectively) and add a bunus feat or 2 if it needs a klittle something extra.

It would give me one slot for each level but i would not gain any spells for those slots and it seams like a waste of epic spell slots for what it gives.

maybe i can trade any new Quick casts for spell progression does that seam fair?

01-23-08, 07:46 AM You could research spells for those levels, just like any other caster. So your DM should allow you to research 7th level spells that work for the Duskblade - which you would come up with by looking at the 6th and 7th level Sorc/Wiz list.

The Epic progression should not give you new spells per day, just like paladins and rangers.
