Arcane vs Divine [Archive] - Wizards Community

I have been playing DnD for yonks and I just wanted other peoples opinion what do you think is better

Epic Arcane or
Epic Divine

I know they are used for two diffrent things one is pure defensive based the other is more usefull for blowing things to pieces?

The thing is, they're like comparing genetically-engineered super-soldiers to tactical nuclear weapons; they both blow things up, but they do them in completely different ways. Furthermore, in both cases there are things one can do that the other can't. And a good, well-rounded party can't do without either of them. Divine casters have the ability to heal injuries and even bring back the dead, while arcanists can level entire cities at epic levels. You need both, and neither is really more integral to the party. But in my opinion, from a worldview perspective, arcane is more powerful.

Anyhoo, I go arcane. However, when talking of epic spells it's mostly semantics. The Heal and Life seeds require a divine focus, but there's no rule stating one must be a cleric to have and use a divine focus.

Oh dear god I'm a blind idiot...I was reading that book this morning. I've had it for some time and have NEVER noticed the rainbow servant...I. am. blind.
