Right now my Beguiler is only lvl 6 but we're all planning on getting to around level 30 since we've never had a serious campaign run that long. Right now the best weapons that I can imagine for my epic Beguiler are a pair of +1 Teleporting, Vorpal, Triple-Throw Daggers of Distant Shot. They will both have the mundane item qualities of acid washed, blood groove, folded metal, ornate, perfect balance, resilient and serrated from Dragon Magazine #358. They're only +1 to keep the cost as low as possible since they'll be several million gold each. Combined with a pair of Scabbards of Keen Edges and several pairs of Greater Augmentation Crystals and they should be just about the best weapons he can have. Each time I take a full attack action I'll make six attack rolls and it shoudln't be long before the natural 20's start rolling in.

Aren't your best weapons Epic Spellcasting? Seriously, if your Beguiler is banking on Vorpal daggers for his contribution to the game, you are playing the wrong character. Beguilers make other do what they want for them.

No he's not banking on his physical weapons by any stretch of the imagination. But there have been several insatnce where his spells have either been useless or he's run out for the day and had to fall back on a bow and arrow. My enemies have an annoying habit of rolling natural 14 or better against my save DC's. Epic spellcasting won't really be an option since he's not focusing his skill points into Knowledge: Arcana and Spellcraft. Besides, epic spellcasting sucks hard. These were his backup after spells, bluff, diplomancy, sneak and hide. After 20 level of Beguiler I'm not sure what direction I'll be taking him since there's no Epic Beguiler progression. Besides at epic level everyone needs something sharp up their sleeve and I want mine to be the best.

In my honest opinoin, dont worry about the Vorpal end of your daggers.

I say this because at higher lvls, alot of monsters shouldnt be affected by having their head removed. Oozes, plants, hydras, ect...

Of course, your campaign might not have these monster types. Even so, Im sure i could find a few more abilities that could better replace the Vorpal ability, if only i had my books.

Any suggestions are appreciated, except elemental damage, I prefer more useful enhancements.

Heightened to Xth level silent image imitating your favorite evocation spell. Shadowcraft mages are awesome.

My main suggestion is:

Never use ranged weapons at epic.

You're throwing a ton of money away on things that can be endlessly deflected, or worse, reflected at you, with no ill effect to your targets.

At epic, either melee, or don't use physical attacks at all.

+1. Ray deflection (SC) + armor augment crystal that gives deflect arrows (MIC) > ranged attacks.

I believe what Kn1ves doesn't understand is that his 6th level character will run out of spells very quickly while a 21st level character will almost never run out of spells.

True, by that level I should have a couple Rings of Wizardy squirled away. Alright, awesome daggers scrapped.
