The world is full of many, smelly commoners. Give them some soap, and take over the world. Using the Salient Divine Abilitiy known as Create Object, you can take over the world. The ability requires Divine Rank 6, and Int 29. This may sound like a lot, but if you have thought of this scam, the int factor isnt really an obsticle. The ability allows you too create 50 lbs per divine rank. If you are Divine Rank 6, and you are on your godly morphic plane, you can create 900 lbs per round. You can only create simple, nonmagical items, worth no more than 1 sp per lb.
Now that you know the statistic, its time for the hard part. To do this right, you need to have many of your followers trained to make soap. Soap is 10sp per lb, and if you can have your followers sell there soap, at the price of 1sp per pound, you have created the new market value.
Once the market value of soap is 1sp/pound you can create 900 pounds of soap in one round and thus 900 sp or 90 gp. This ends up being about 473,040,000 gp per year assuming that you are making soap the whole time.
Your followers can pobably sell as much soap (or other items with the same value) as they could possibly want to. Then, using the money they can start to build an army by paying people more than anyone else can. If you pay a commoner about 10 gp per week to be in your army, or work force, worship force, or whatever (more than twice what he'd make as a simple farmer or tradesman according to the commoner math forum on regdar's repository) you could afford to have 907,200 people working for you all the time (all though this assumes you don't have to pay people to sell soap).
Eventually I'm sure you could make enough money to simply buy everyone out or conquer them with the bazillions of soldiers you'll be able to acquire.

So you're using Divine Rank 6 to do what a 1st level Commoner with the Chicken Infested flaw can do? It works, but is it really an effective use of divine power?

what's the chicken infested flaw?

Also, anyone here got some links to other infinite/abitrarily high gold loops?

Don't got a link, but somewhere ion the CharOp boards there was something about brainwashing commoners and having them do free labor for you. I figure you could work them to death and then sell there bones to a necromancer(or turn them into undead yourself and have them do labor then)

Chicken Infested is from an April Fools issue of Dragon. Flaw. Half the times you try to get an item, you get a chicken instead. One of the flaws in that issue was "you are dead".

A 10 foot ladder costs 5 cp
A ten foot pole costs 2 sp

Break your ladder into two ten foot poles. Sell for a net gain of 15 coppers. Infinite gold loop at level one.

There was a DnD walmart I saw once. It was that for low levels you run a small business, and by 13th level you can have 8 stores all taking 10 in a months time making 10th level money every month. Or something like that I can't find the thread...:(

Nah, you could just pay some wizard guy to make you 10 ft. ladders. Pay him the full price for the ladder(maybe double) and your set.

Ok, Chicken Infested is kind of an unfair comparison, as it's a flaw stronger than any feat - it can get you infinite money, let you throw flaming chickens which deal tons of damage, or give you an infinite supply of undead minions and godlike strength.

However, Flesh to Salt is in Sandstorm, and does much the same thing - buy cows, turn them to salt, sell the salt. Salt is fairly valuable, and you get a lot per cow, so the cash adds up fast.

Or, for the core-only solution: Ranks in Craft + Fabricate + Wall of Iron = Tons of masterwork equipment for a very low cost. Sell it, or use it yourself.

Or Planar Bind a Djinn (doesn't have to be a Noble one), and have it use it's Major Creation ability to create tons of spices/drugs/rare woods/wine, which is all permanent. Doesn't even involve using Wish.

Really, the economic system gets so broken by high levels (not even Epic), that I usually assume transactions for really potent stuff involve some form of harder-to-scam currency - souls, credit in Sigil, certified Mechanus Bank notes, far-realm tulips, and so forth.

Candle of Invocation is core-only.
But couldn't you just scam up uber rare major creation awesomeness and sell it for the hard-to-scam currency. You can't make the currency directly, but you can moneychange to it from gold pieces.

Well presumably, it doesn't directly convert from gp. Its just traded in exchange for high-power magic items and services. In some cases where much gold is needed in a hurry, someone might trade a small amount of this currency+ for a lot of gold, but it wouldn't be that common.

I sort of thought that this thread was kind of an oblique reference to Fight Club...
