Common choices include other knowledge skills, stealthy skills for trickster or rogue dieties, or perform skill in a deity's favored instrument. Alignment: Same as patron deity Special: Must exemplify your deity's moral standards and receive a blessing from a direct servant of your deity. (DM's discretion) Hit Die: d8 1 Aura of Favor (Holy), Blessing, Eyes of the Divine 1/day 2 Divine Empowerment 3 Voice of the Divine 1/day 4 Spontaneous Domain Casting 5 Eyes of the Divine 2/day 6 Divine Empowerment 7 Voice of the Divine 2/day 8 Domain Embodiment 9 Eyes of the Divine 3/day 10 Apotheosis 11 Voice of the Divine 3/day 12 Undying Spirit 1/day 13 Eyes of the Divine 4/day 14 Divine Empowerment 15 Voice of the Divine 4/day Spellcasting: Each level advances spellcasting in one spellcasting class of your choice. Aura (Su): Choose Holy, Unholy, Axiomatic, Anarchic, or Concordant. Your choice must match one of the alignment components of your deity. You may only choose Concordant if you are TN. Any weapon you wield gains the chosen property. Blessing (Su): You may bestow the effect of a Bless spell for one hour on any touched creature or obect at will. No target can be affected more than once per day. Eyes of the Divine (Su): Once per day you may direct the attention of a portion of your deity's power to an event as an immediate action. You may declare the result of any one dice roll made by a creature within your line of sight. The result must be able to be produced by that roll. You gain one additional use of this ability at 5th level and ever 4 levels thereafter. Divine Empowerment: At 2nd level, you begin to take on some of the aspects of your divine patron. Add 2 points to each of two ability scores of your choice. Do this again at 6th level, 14th level, and every 4 levels thereafter. Voice of the Divine (Sp): As a free action you may duplicate the effect of any spell you know. This ability requires a verbal component, and you must pay one half of any XP component the spell has. You need not supply any other components, nor are any of your spell slots used. Add your Charisma Modifier to the standard DC of the spell. You may use this ability once per day at 3rd level, and once more per day every 4 levels thereafter. Spontaneous Domain Casting (Su): At 4th level, you may use any prepared spell or open spell slot to spontaneously cast a spell of equal or lesser level from any domain you can access, in a way similar to a good cleric spontaneously casting 'cure' spells. Doing so does not require the use of your domain slot, if you have one. Domain Embodiment (Su): At 8th level, you gain access to all domains your patron deity grants, including their granted powers. Apotheosis: At 10th level, the divine energy you channel from your patron transforms you. You gain the Half-Celestial or Half-Fiendish template, according to your alignment. If you are neutral in regards to good and evil, you may choose to gain either. Undying Spirit (Su): At 12 level your divine power allows you to defy even death. Once per day, when you die, you return to life at full hit points. You may opt to either lose 2 points of Constitution or to lost one level upon returning from the dead. Only a Wish, Miracle, or similar or greater magic can restore the lost level or Constitution points. You may choose not to return, and you do not expend a use of this ability in that case. You gain one additional use of this ability per day every 4 levels beyond 12th. Well, here she is. The 'Avatar' epic prestige class is meant to represent those divine casters so closely linked with their deity that they begin to take on aspects of their deity's strengths (Divine Empowerment) and receive special blessings beyond the ability of normal servants of the deity. The abilities are powerful, and a number of them are blatantly ripped from the Scion, a (crappy) non-epic prestige class in a 3rd party book, with only very slight modification to comply with 3.5 rules and make more sense. The requirements are up in the air, and could stand revision, but I want the class to be qualified for at level 25 in the ideal case. Aura of Favor is just the benefit of the epic feat 'Holy Strike', I'm aware, but I gave it a name to be able to create this epic feat specifically for the class: New Epic Feat: Improved Aura of Favor (Epic) Your deity blesses you by expanding the benefits of your Aura. Prerequisite: Aura of Favor Benefit: Select a first level spell from your class list with a range of touch or personal and a duration longer than Instantaneous. Your Aura provides you with the continuous benefit of that spell. If that spell contains a random element, use the average result of that random element, rounded down. Special: You may select this feat more than once. Each time beyond the first you may choose a spell that is cumulatively one level higher. Special:Any time you select this feat you may choose a spell with metamagic applied, as long as you know that metamagic feat and the spell's adjusted level is within your limit. Special: Each time you select this feat you may exchange one of the other spell effects chosen with a previous selection of this feat for another qualifying effect of equal or lesser spell level. A glorified Permanent Emanation, but for a different class of spells. Powerful, but the scaling level limit should keep it from getting crazy too fast. So... thoughts? Comments? Suggestions?
