| The Vorpal Tribble07-07-07, 01:30 PM | Ok, on the whole I'm not a fan of epic playing, but I do from time to time enjoy making epic beasts. However, once you get to that high of level it seems to become harder and harder to determine how tough a challenge actually is. Even with play-testing I've yet to really figure out the CR of epic beasts as it changes drastically from build to build of the party. The standard method I use for my lower-leveled fellows starts becoming more inaccurate the more hit points it has. So, my question is, does anyone know if a tried and true method of determining epic CR, even a fair guestimation, has yet been developed? (And btw, I'm talking about 3.5 epic creatures) |
