| Gemstone08-10-07, 06:26 AM | Okay, I was watching the latest bond movie a couple of days ago, and in the scene when a person mistakes bond for being a servant I started to think... What would the DC modification for Disguise be, if you didn't do any disguising what so ever, just pretended to be the person you wanna be? This sounds an awful lot like bluff, I know, but the idea is to be disguised without actually disguising yourself. I'm currently thinking either +20 or +40 to the DC |

Remember, Bond wasn't even trying to be mistaken for a servant; the other guy was just so arrogent that he assumed anyone who didn't look to be oozing money was a servant. I'd rule it perfectly reasonably for a character to disguise themselves without actually having a disguise, under the right circumstances. After all as long as you're not trying to impersonate an individual or be part of a group of which you obviously don't belong (like a dwarf impersonating an elf), nobody's looking at the details of your "disguise". |
