I'm in a campaign that the DM plans on going epic with. I play a dragon shaman, but can't find anything about them at the epic level. I know there's nothing official out there, but does anyone have any suggestions that aren't overpowered?

Should be fairly simple. Breath weapon increases 1d6 every two levels, other abilities that have an obvious and regular scale continue to do so. The key thing to remember is that epic classes (that is, levels of a base class past 20) don't offer new abilities. Instead, you get bonus feats drawn from a custom list. Work with your DM to come up with an epic DS advancement and bonus feat list, as well as some custom epic feats (Improved Breath Weapon for +1d6 damage springs instantly to mind).

Alternatively, see if your DM will let you take the Dragon Disciple PrC but swap out the bonus spells and Disciple breath weapon for Dragon Shaman breath weapon/class feature advancement.

Sorry, communication isn't my strong point. I was hoping for a little help with balancing it out, not that we've worked on it yet, since we have a long way to go yet. And you guys know quite a bit about stuff like that. And someone may have worked it out already, but not posted it yet.

Things like the breath weapon. It doubles in size every eight levels after you get it. But, that would make it larger than a normal dragon's breath at level 28, at a 120 cone or 240 line. Even if it just increase 30'/60', that's still more than a colossal dragon's.

And how many bonus feats? The class has several abilities that increase in a set scale. Natural AC at every 5 levels, breath damage every 2, AoE of breath as mentioned above, increase in Touch of Vitality points every level, and the aura bonus itself every 5. What would be a good rate, especially given how underpowered they seem to get at later levels.

As for feats, I was thinking an increase in the aura radius, and an increase in aura bonus. What would be the prereqs? Anything else that might be interesting like the breath damage one mentioned?

Probably shouldn't increase any more once you hit colossal dragon. Then again, once you're level 28, you can take down great wyrm golds solo (in theory), so larger breath isn't a problem. I'm worried about doubling, though (lvl 100=61440 ft. cone!), so make it linear.

If you didn't say they were underpowered, I'd go 1/5. Given underpowerness, 1/3 might be OK, though pushing it, depending on extremeness of underpowerdness..

IDK. Make sure to include some normal feats, too. Armor Skin is the most obvious one, to buff their NA.
