| Sleer02-26-07, 03:53 AM | When a druid accedes at epic levels improve his wildshape and receives some bonus talent. I need to know: beside that his animal companion's bonus continues to improve if druids takes epic level? Or it stop to improve if the druid's level (level relative at his companion bonus) overstep the 20°? |
| Thomas_Covenant02-26-07, 04:00 AM | Animal Companion: The Druid’s animal companion continues to increase in power. Every three levels higher than 20th the animal companion gains 2 bonus hit dice, +1 strength and dexterity, and an additional trick. So a Riding Dog Companion of a 30th level Druid would continue to increase in power indefinitely, as the Druid gained levels, for example. Epic-equivalent Animal Companions would be handy, I know of none in print. (Some feats/class features have equivalent boosts to effective companion level, but I don't consider that quite the same thing.) |

| Thomas_Covenant02-27-07, 11:14 PM | For Epic Animal Companions, the way to go is pretty much anything that has Shapechange on it at the moment, really. I guess you'd have to sort through HD vs. special abilities that still apply under Shapechange. Honestly, I'm not convinced anyone on the planet actually understands those rules, so you're better off just asking your DM for his opinion. |
