Epic Greyhawk Adventure [Archive] - Wizards Community

For those interested, Rick "Duicarthan" Miller wrote two articles in the latest Oerth Journal that deal with Epic Level stuff in Greyhawk, including a full blown epic adventure. This is good stuff:

07-20-07, 11:39 AM Isn't it though? :) What's weird, is that is exactly where my next adventure was going. I have been scrambling around, trying to buy time coming up with ready made maps, and putting off doing some of the details as long as I could - and this comes along!

The adventure as I have it involves the Sentinels (mentioned there) being LeShay, not gray elves, and them not allowing the party through freely. The party's motivation to go in is that an evil party is trying to beat them to it. So I have some tweaking to do to make it fit - and my vision of Darnakurian was as an undead of some type - but the vast majority of it, including the source of Hunger's power - I can use. :)

I am very happy.

07-20-07, 05:22 PM Wow, thank you for this post; I hadn't realized they'd come out with more issues since #15! Now I can keep up to date on what they're doing next. And I agree, the adventure is good and most welcome with the scarcity of good epic adventures. :)

07-25-07, 11:59 AM I agree - I thought it was well done.

There aren't any others at that level, but there are some that are near-epic:

OJ21 has an adventure for 15th, scalable to 20th (or higher). "The Colorless Spire of Frozen Shadows" by the same author. Takes place in the Land of the Black Ice.

OJ18 is for 13th level, scalable to 16th (but maybe higher....) "Seas of Fallen Summer" also by Rick Miller.

Nothing likely before then. But keep an eye out for OJ23. :)
