| Peregrine_Wolf06-09-07, 12:32 PM | I was reading a thread on a different forum, and someone said that, since pre-epic magic items have a max bonus of +6 to ability scores, and in epic they have max of +12, wouldn't inherent bonuses then double also? This would make it a max of +10 inherent bonus. |
| Witch06-09-07, 12:36 PM | No. Also, epic enhancement bonuses don't have a maximum of +12. |
| Peregrine_Wolf06-09-07, 12:51 PM | Also, epic enhancement bonuses don't have a maximum of +12. What about Gloves of Dexterity +12 Belt of Strength +12 Bracers of Health +12 Headband of Intellect +12 Periapt of Wisdom +12 Cloak of Charisma +12 I'm pretty sure those exist =) |
| Witch06-09-07, 01:00 PM | What about Gloves of Dexterity +12 Belt of Strength +12 Bracers of Health +12 Headband of Intellect +12 Periapt of Wisdom +12 Cloak of Charisma +12 I'm pretty sure those exist =) I'm also pretty sure they exist. But they're not the maximum by the ELH rules. |
| Peregrine_Wolf06-09-07, 01:09 PM | Oh, well I assumed so because, in the SRD, it only shows up to +12. I don't own the ELH, so I didn't know that it went higher. But anwyays, even at level 9999999999999999999999999999999999 you can still only have an inherent bonus of +5..... |
| Witch06-09-07, 01:10 PM | Indeed. Which is a good thing. |
| Far_Traveler06-09-07, 01:39 PM | Stat bonus +14: 1,960,000 gp Stat bonus +16: 2,560,000 gp Stat bonus +18: 3,220,000 gp Stat bonus +20: 4,000,000 gp Catch our drift? |
| Peregrine_Wolf06-09-07, 04:10 PM | yeah.....like I said in my first post though, I was asking because it came up in a forum somewhere else, I myself was saying you can't have inherent bonus more than +5......but yeah Cost=bonus x bonus x 10000 for epic items |
| Yodasatomicweed06-09-07, 04:55 PM | Technically, if you wanted to include them, the pricing would be about this: +6: 1,650,000 +7: 1,925,000 +8: 2,200,000 +9: 2,475,000 +10: 2,750,000 Personally, I would not do this (or I'd at least raise the price significantly), but I believe that is how you would price it, based on how the bonus increases in non-epic and factoring in the x10 epic multiplier. |
| Peregrine_Wolf06-09-07, 05:06 PM | I'm staring to think that the people on the Epic duels thread are probably some of the only people IN the epic forums.....seeing as they're the only ones to comment so far.....anyways, I wouldn't allow more than +5 in my games..... |
| Bernat06-09-07, 05:10 PM | There's more people than that, but there's no need for an answer if there's one already :D. |

It's not that we're the only ones here, it's that the duels are popular. I'm sure the link in my sig has brought a few people over. The inherent bonus caps are there, of course, to avoid a cheap and easy way to boost ability scores. At higher levels, you'll have to still work for it. |

Yeah, the folks around here can be a bit single minded, and overbearing sometimes. As has been said, by RAW +5 is the max for inherent bonuses. Of course, anything is possible; I for example treat inherent bonuses slightly differently than RAW and do allow more than +5. |
| Far_Traveler06-11-07, 04:33 PM | He's talking of epic inherent bonuses, if they theoretically existed. Ah. Makes sense, linear pricing, x10 price, yep, everything appears to be on the up and up there. |
