Two things I'll point out first:

1. Yes, I know that as a seven level class the IotSFV would not normally qualify for an epic progression. Even so I'm still experimenting with making one and would like some opinions on how what I have so far looks.

2. I already know about Jaerom Darkwind's Master of the Sevenfold Veil but have decided not to go that route.

Class Features

The following are class features of the Epic Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil.

Spells per Day/Spells Known

At every level, the character gains new spells per day (and spells known, if applicable) as if he or she had also gained a level in a spellcasting class to which he or she belonged before adding the prestige class level. If already an epic spellcaster, the character gains only the benefit noted under the Spells entry for that epic class. He or she does not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If the character had more than one spellcasting class before becoming an epic initiate, the player must decide to which class to add the new level for the purpose of determining spells per day.

Warding (Sp): Every four levels an epic initiate gains another use of his warding ability per day.

Unimpeachable Abjuration (Ex): An epic initiate continues to add his class level to the DC to dispel any abjuration spell or effect he creates.

Unanswerable Strike (Ex): The bonus an epic initiate gains to counter or dispel abjuration spells continues to increase by two every four levels.

Bonus Feats: An Epic Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil gains an epic bonus feat every four levels.

Epic Initiate Bonus Feat List

In addition to the feats on this list, the initiate may select any item creation feat or metamagic feat not listed here.

That's advancing a lot of abilities. I'd reduce the frequency of bonus feats.

So maybe move them up to every five or six levels?

I'd go with 6, at least to start. Non-epic IoSfV is very powerful, I know, so I'd err on the side of fewer feats.

every five levels should be ok and remove an additional use of Kaleidoscopic Doom.

It would be great if we could justify making it a 1/7 bonus feat progression.

Who told you you could come in here! Get out, crimson scum!

I have to admit I prefer the idea of advancing the original class too. It does rather stand between the usual 5/10 dichotomy.

I have to admit I prefer the idea of advancing the original class too. It does rather stand between the usual 5/10 dichotomy. The ten-level rule is there for a very good reason. And like its 5-level brethren, the initiate of the sevenfold veil packs way too much power into its 7 levels to make a balanced progression at epic. I myself also considered breaking the 10-level rule when deciding what to do with the class, but realized quickly that it was a very bad idea. That's why I followed established protocol and designed the Master of the Sevenfold Veil in the first place.
