The spells were just confusing the heck out of me and everything else is just a crazy mess that is hard to navigate through. Does anyone know of a program or something that can figure it out for me or some kind of house to reduce a little bit of the mess? |

This includes the highest level spells, and most powerful monsters that the party might fight. After that, you need to understand how character advancement works, gaining a level. You need to understand that character level and class level are not the same, and that you could be epic character level and not epic class level. Read the part about Epic Attack Bonus and Epic Save Bonus as well. Now Epic Spells you should avoid like the plague until you know everything else well. If you do allow them - only allow the ones in the book for starters. But make sure you get the Errata, because the printed ones have many math errors. The monsters should be self-explanatory, just learn all about their individual powers and abilities. You can ask specific questions here, and we will help. Take a look at the SRD revision thread (in my sig) for more house rules on things that are not quite right. You can use PCGen to get access to much of the Epic stuff and have it calculated right for you. If there is anything in particular you need help with - after you read the FAQ posted in the Sticky Threads thread - let us know. ROB |
