My DM has houseruled that Greater Metamorphosis has no cap on the HD (thus the HD of your assumed form always = manifester level). The caveat to this though is you "know" a limited number of forms (2 for every 5 manifester levels) that you can change at every level (or sacrifice 200 xp to change at any time). I was wondering what would be some good forms that fellow board members could suggest. Some limited 3rd party is allowed (Epic Beastiary) all WOTC is open and dm has ruled any WOTC Template or Epic Beastiary template is allowed (limit 2 templates per monster) My tenative list so far. (Any creature with less than 25hd is assumed advanced to it) Paragon Mature Adult Red Dragon Ghost Paragon Living Spell Sphere of Ultimate Doom Paragon Diamond Gaurdian(Epic Beastiary) Paragon Solar Paragon Living Spell Mage's Disjunction Paragon Half Red Dragon 12 Headed Hydra Paragon Doppleganger Paragon Dragon Turtle Paragon Titan Paragon Beheamoth(Epic Beastiary) Eagle
rob_douglas 09-13-07, 05:13 PM	Not to make the point too hard - but why not a paragon, pseudonatural, monster of legend, multiheaded, etc, etc, etc. This has always been a problem for Metamorphosis if you allow templated creatures. As for my own rules on Known Forms - you have to have actually studied one and gotten a chance to know more about what it does - that should knock out all the Paragon stuff. It may seem great, but granting such powerful abilities just makes the game harder/impossible to run. ROB
