| OregonRnr02-17-07, 03:06 PM | Could an epic-level character steal someone's soul with a sleight of hand check? If so, what would the DC be? Thanks in advance. |
| Thor_axe_impaler02-17-07, 05:49 PM | Now this is an interesting proposition. Even if there was a physical object to steal... what would it be put into? And think of the person being stolen from... one minute your talking with a nice enough looking halfling, and next you realize that the escence that makes you sentient is gone. |
| bluemage5502-17-07, 08:40 PM | No, you cannot. Sleight of Hand explicitly tells you what you can steal, and anything else cannot be stolen. |
| NoldorForce02-17-07, 11:24 PM | A soul is too abstract to be stolen, unless you had a class ability that explicitly allowed it. Even then, a save might be more appropriate - based either on Dexterity or Charisma (as with SLAs). In a rather absurd discussion, someone had pegged the DC to steal your own pants without noticing at 120. At high or epic levels, Sleight of Hand is also useful for grabbing stuff out of pockets and putting it back without needing to take move actions, considering the ability to perform "minor feats of legerdermain". |
| Tequila_Sunrise02-17-07, 11:27 PM | Hahahahahahaha |

| Gemcaster02-23-07, 04:30 AM | What would the dc be to take a paladins fullplate armour while he is still wearing it, without him and a crowd of say 40 people in a tavern seeing it? |
| bluemage5502-23-07, 11:12 AM | What would the dc be to take a paladins fullplate armour while he is still wearing it, without him and a crowd of say 40 people in a tavern seeing it? Again, you cannot do that because it is not permitted by the skill description. |
