Epic Spell Challenge [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-09-07, 02:36 PM Ok, not really, I'm just kind of lazy and don't fully understand the whole Epic Spell creation rules.

I have a NPC who I would like to create 50+ clones of himself. Kind of like the Shadow Adept ability Shadow double. The clones need to be real, ie. not illusions, and can act semi-independently.

I'm asking how would I go about creating a spell, mainly because I have a major rules lawyer in my group and I don't want him to be all like, "You can't do that. Blah, Blah, Blah."

Anywho, any help would be much appreciative.

11-09-07, 07:19 PM The Shadow seed from Lost Empires of Faerun can do that. You'd need to apply it 50 times, though, so it may be awfully costly.

Actually its a spell. Complete arcane.

A lot of the wierd stuff is psionic. This one is wujen though. Fission is the power you're thinking of.

So, gestalt psion/wu jen with BOB (body outside body) and fission?

The both have drawbacks. Not an optimal gestalt combo IMO.

11-13-07, 08:36 PM For the purpose of cloning, though, it works. Artificer/Psion might be better. Persistify a wand of Body Out of Body and then have all your clones manifest their powers. If the text only applies to Wu Jen spells, then an Artificer/Chamaeleon could be their own adventuring party.
