If such a weapon were to be made, what should a DM make of it ingame? I can see three possibilities. One is that it can be loosed and fly around to attack things, but may only attack with one head. The other is that you can wield it in one hand, on account of the weapon taking half of the work required to wield a double weapon (Using both ends requires both mental and physical effort) away from the wielder. The last is the most boring, and that the weapon doesn't gain any benefit from being Everdancing on one end. |
| Kihon06-05-07, 09:35 PM | IMO - the first option. It could "dance" and attack, but only using the one side. Option 2 & 3 don't work game wise - for me. |

| goro06-07-07, 11:56 PM | Do you still get your normal attacks if you use an Everdancing weapon? Example; Fighter ??HD, 4 attacks, TwF He can attack 4 times and his weapon can attack 4 times? or He can attack 8 times and his weapon can attack 4 times? or He can attack 8 times and his weapon can attack 1 time? |

I believe it's option 2 there. (assuming he has Perfect Two-Weapon Fighting) |

| Frobojoe06-08-07, 01:27 PM | What is the maximum number of Everdancing weapons someonee could have? As many as you can afford. They're not exactly cheap, though. |
| rob_douglas06-08-07, 05:12 PM | Be aware that by the RAW, Everdancing weapons are mostly useless. They don't get Strength bonuses to hit or damage, and can't use any of your feats. I looked at the numbers, and found that this interpretation of Dancing weapons made them worthless compared to their +4 price modifier. I allow full use of your Strength as if you were wielding it, and all your feats that don't require an action to activate - Focus, Specialization, Improved Critical, etc. In this way, it is as if you were wielding it. This is also useful so I don't have to calculate a special line on the character sheet for dancing weapon attack and damage. Again, I agree that Everdancing on just one end of the weapon only let's that one end attack. On both ends, the whole weapon would attack as if you were using it, which means it only gets multiple attacks with the "off-hand" end if you have a form of improved Two-weapon fighting. It gets 8 attacks only if you have Perfect Two-weapon fighting. ROB |
| goro06-08-07, 05:20 PM | Just add banestrike. or another extra damaging ability. +?? Everdancing Sonic Blast weapon(s). An additional 10-20 points per attack, per weapon, per round. It could really add up. |
