| JMD03110-21-07, 01:36 AM | So my players have finally reached the level where they will start becoming Epic level. They are all excited about this, but I'm a bit worried. Mainly because there is a Warmage and a Ninja in the group and there is no published material that covers any of the new base classes beyond level 20. Now I know that after level 20 the BAB and the Save bonus increase the same for all classes, but I was talking more about Class Features like Sudden Strike or Warmage's Edge. It just seems like some of these things should increase after level 20, but I'm not really sure which ones. Any insight about this would be great. |

I'd give one per three levels or two and a half levels. It's right down there with fighter. |

You know those great epic feats (Fast Healing, Damage Reduction, Epic Prowess, Devestating Critical, Epic Toughness) that make every combanant a powerhouse? Fighters get nine of those feats from levels 21-30. An Epic Fighter can easily outfight an Epic Barbarian at level 30 Sometimes I wish I could be in a campaign that ran from levels 1-40. I would steal the spotlight from levels 1 thru 10 with a fight, and fade into the woodwork. Then, when we hit epic, I'd start outfighting EVERYBODY.... |

I dunno, most of the martial feats are pretty sucky and easily mimicked without epic feats. Examples: armor Skin vs improved Natural Armor or blinding Speed vs boots o fSpeed or chaotic Rage vs shadowstriking (ToM) or combat Archery vs arrowmind (SC) damage Reduction vs well, this one is just kinda sucky dexterous Fortitude vs diamond mind counters or dire Charge vs lion totem barbarian energy Resistance vs, well this kinda just sucks and on. The only feats that are really *epic* Bane+death of enemies (assuming you've found one of the two ways to get favored enemy: evil Distant shot Epic dodge Exceptional Deflection Holy stike Improved Combat reflexes Improved Ki Strike Improved Manyshot Improved Whirlwind Attack Infinite Deflection Keen Strike Vorpal Strike Perfect multi/two weapon fighting Reflect Arrows Rightious strike Sneak attack of opportunity Archers and monks get the best feats in epic. Armed melee get almost nothing. I highly doubt a fighter 20 can fit into either of those catagories well. |
