I was just wondering, what's the Range Increment? 10' or infinite or something else? It's confused the hell out of me as it's listed nowhere and yet the attack is specifically marked Ranged.

It doesnt say I think, I'd probably go with a stone giants range increment (180 feet?), 10' prolly wouldnt work as big H can almost reach that far with his swords I think :)

...Ofcourse , I'm not sure anyone has actually tried to run Big H ... that whole 100 attack things a bit of a turn off for most ppl I suspect... If you do run him, I'd love to know the results! (really don't think he measures up to his cr)

Huge giants typically have a 140 ft. range on their boulders. If it was really important to you, I think that would be the best to base it off of.

Considering the ones in Greek legend were throwing mountains though, I wouldn't blame you if you didn't attach a range limit. As far as the eye could see.

Sure - give them distant shot as a bonus feat, or as a swap out for one of their other feats that they don't need. Cool idea. Fits the concept better.

In 1E, the Hec's boulders were treated as a meteor swarm whenever they attacked with them.

Right. But even Far Shot needs a base range increment, which is what the OP was asking for. I don't think they gave a range increment.

What 1e sourcebook were they in?

But if you give Distant Shot as a bonus feat, you don't need to know - it becomes effectively infinite. You don't need to meet prereqs for a bonus feat.

However, if you don't, I agree the range should just be 140' or so. Match giants at least. It is just an oversight. I can't imagine it mattering at Epic.

Hecas were in the Deities and Demigods 1E book. Under Greek mythos.

Oh, duh. I kept reading Far Shot rather than Distant Shot. Excellent point, good fix.
