| Corey_Austin04-13-07, 07:50 PM | A very very long going non-epic campaign arc has just ended. Posting the end of story arc loot because I thought the item ideas were pretty cool. (My character is a bard/warblade) The Hero’s Cord Of the four items wrought by the seer Ashura from the Vault of Sands, the Hero’s Cord was gifted to Jansen Garret in honor of the daring displayed in the destruction of the cult of Amn-Ken. Spun within the simple black cord are three of the golden hair strands of the fallen Eternal. At its end lies the purified obsidian fang of Amn-Ken. It winds itself tightly across your right arm, the fanged end swaying in the air of its own accord. Effects The Hero’s Cord grants access to three effects, and has a CL of 21: * Strikes independently as a +2 Keen Ghost Touch Heart-seeking Whip Dagger of Warning (1d4+2, 19-20/x2) at your highest attack bonus once per round with a reach of 5 feet per character level. The Hero’s Cord cannot make or be used to make attacks of opportunity. * If used as part of a full-round action, grants a +Cha bonus to any climb, disarm, jump, trip, or use rope check. Functions as a grappling hook and lengthens up to 5 feet per character level. * As a full round action, you may make a grapple check with a bonus equal to your charisma modifier. If successful, the strands of the Eternal within the Cord grab the foe. A foe grappled by the cord suffers one effect per round spent grappled. On the first round, they lose access to shape changing effects and abilities. On the second round, a foe suffers the effects of a Dimensional Anchor (SR applies) for one round. On the third round, a foe suffers the effects of a Holy Word effect (Will save and SR apply). Silver Songstone of Einsenban The princess Amelia Velora of Einsenban was a connoisseur of the arts known far and wide. The princess, in her inexhaustible escape from boredom called performances from famous musicians and poets from across the Great Plains. Thus, from these minstrels did the tales of the performances and the curious princess spread. The Silver Songstone, forged in the Unseelie Court, came into the princess’ hands from a troupe of faeries bearing it as a gift to the young woman. The stone brought forth the sound of clean, piercing music of the faeries when held, and delighted the maiden. As she and the object became inseparable, her judgment began to wane, and her kingdom descended into chaos. The music of the stone came with a price; it muddled the girl’s mind, and slowly drew her soul into the Court of the Unseelie. The stone was rumored to have been buried with the princess, last of the royal line. Effects The Silver Songstone of Einsenban grants access to three effects, and CL 21: * The wielder of the Songstone may use the stone to create bardic music as a full round action. These effects remain as long as concentration is maintained. Each usage of this ability deals 2 points of wisdom damage (no save), which cannot be prevented or healed without natural rest. Any subject reduced to zero wisdom while holding or activating the Songstone is drawn unpreventably into the world of the Unseelie Court. * The wielder of the Songstone may also choose to activate the stone as a swift action while concentrating on a Bardic music effect, increasing the final bonus of any musical effect by +1. * The wielder of the Songstone may create an entrancing music as a swift action, creating a Feeblemind effect (DC 10+your cha mod) on a foe within 15 feet. This effect lasts 1 minute, and deals 2 points of wisdom damage to the wielder. Any subject reduced to zero wisdom while holding or activating the Songstone is drawn unpreventably into the world of the Unseelie Court. |

| Corey_Austin04-15-07, 10:19 PM | Yeah, 3.0 sword and fist, 3.5 complete warrior i believe. Acts like a short sword on a whip, but was reduced slightly in damage for the campaign i was in. |
