| Grandmaster_Kane04-07-07, 11:46 AM | i am adding the 3 legendary menzoberranzan weapon master to my game but i am confused about the classes i should give them i was thinking something like this Dantrag: 18 Fighters/ 5 Rougue/ 4 assassin Zakneifin: 24 Fighter/ 3 rouge Uthegental: 12 Fighter/ 15 Barbarain anybody have better ideas? |
| SokenzanMarauder04-07-07, 12:51 PM | There's no reason that they should be epic first of all. I'm not saying that they shouldn't be epic, but why are they epic? Give them some backstory beyond they're legendary weapon masters, why are they legendary? Why haven't the matron mothers had them slaughtered 'cause they're a threat to their power? For the sake of the gods, drop the levels in fighter, the base (non-modified) fighter is crap except for maybe the first four levels. If you want them to be 'legendary' give them classes from the Book of Nine Swords, that way they unlock all kinds of nifty maneuvers to go along with their titles. As for other class levels, we need to know what books you have before anyone can help you out much. Oh, and before anyone else gets you, 'rouge' is spelled rogue. Cheers, -Gene |
| Salernodc04-07-07, 02:45 PM | Aren't they all dead? They have been roughly statted in 2nd edition and were no where near those levels(especially Dantrag & Uthengental...Zak is a little closer). Drizzt is 16th-18th level in 3rd edition and he beat Dantrag. But you have Dantrag statted roughly 10-11 levels higher. However, I also think Drizzt's stat block in FRCS is underpowered. But hey, it's your game and whatever makes you & your campaign friends happy is more important. Good luck! |

| Lord Zeb04-15-07, 11:24 AM | Dantrag: 18 Fighters/ 5 Rougue/ 4 assassin Zakneifin: 24 Fighter/ 3 rouge Uthegental: 12 Fighter/ 15 Barbarain Well, Zak was the best of the best @ level 24 back in the day, so let's keep him as top dog with the other two right behind him: Zaknafein: 24th level Drow (16 Fighter / 5 Tempest / 3 Rogue) or : 3 Ranger / 12 Fighter / 5 Tempest / 4 Rogue Uthengental: 22nd level Drow (2 Fighter, 20 Barbarian) Dantrag: 18th level Drow (12 Fighter, 5 Rogue, 1 Assassin) Alternatively, I really like the Tome of Battle, and any of the Fighter levels above could well be replaced with Warblade levels instead. So like: 3 Ranger / 12 Warblade / 5 Tempest / 4 Rogue, would be really awesome to try out, and with Oversized TWF, -0 on both weapons for Zak. |
| Leukrythus04-16-07, 04:31 PM | ... anybody have better ideas? This is the problem with running "World in a Box", everyone has read a book and has different views of how things should be. You will never make everyone happy. For god's sake man, do what works for your campaign! |
