SokenzanMarauder 06-12-07, 08:16 PM	Avoid paragon. If you're talking about the paragon template it's almost never worth the class levels. If you're talking about racial paragon levels, I can't comment on those. -Gene

bluetooth 06-12-07, 09:36 PM	what's the LA though? the CR is +15 so the LA is probably insane. if the starting ECL is only 25 you might not be able to afford it.
rob_douglas 06-13-07, 06:31 PM	A lot of people around here go with +15 LA for Paragon, though +18 seems more like it. It has some nice benefits for a fighting or skill using character, but sucks for a caster. So that would give you a Paragon elf Rogue7. I would suggest Elf Fighter2/Rogue3/Wizard5/Arcane Trickster15 with a bunch of wands with Rays in them, and a specialty in Ray spells - if you want a nice tricky, sneaky fellow. The two fighter feats can be used to tuneup your Ray specialization, with weapon focus, precise shot, or improved critical. Take Spell Penetration and Greater Spell Penetration, to make sure your own rays get through, and pick up a lot of Rays. ROB
