| Prak, the Mad04-19-07, 11:09 AM | You may be looking here for some crunch I designed. It is no longer here, or anywhere on the Wizards boards, for that matter. This is because Wizards has established a clause in the ToS saying that any material submitted to these boards becomes their property, and I like retaining the rights to my intellectual property when I'm not getting paid for them. Wizards is slowly turning facist and greedy. I will not support this. If anyone wishes to see the epic spell Origin of Species: Tribble, PM me, I will be happy to email it to them. |
| Rickiel04-19-07, 12:29 PM | The horror... the horror. |
| Prak, the Mad04-19-07, 01:50 PM | you think that's bad... think about the halfling with Exotic Weapon Proficiency(thrown tribble) who keeps tribbles in bags of holding... |
| Rickiel04-19-07, 03:28 PM | There's only two known cures for Tribbles. Klignons and Sterilization! In any case I think Tribbles would be the bane of all orcs and ogres! Weren's might think them cute however. |
| Prak, the Mad04-19-07, 03:31 PM | *nod*, probably. I figure gnomes would find many uses for them, and less then ethical halflings might like them for the fact they can be, essentially, unlimited thrown weapons. edit: also, there's one other cure, the predatory reptiles from their home planet that keeps the populations down. |
| Rickiel04-19-07, 03:44 PM | They'd make the perfect, and I do mean PERFECT, familiar for gnomes :D They'd also make never-ending popcorn-esque snacks for dragons! However... I fear to see the Fiendish Tribble  |
| Prak, the Mad04-19-07, 04:10 PM | that actually reminds me of the next epic spell I want to write up, Aura Splicing, it'd allow you to add templates to unborn creatures without figuring out how to get fire immunity or the like first. |
| Taeldrin Laesrash04-19-07, 06:42 PM | What're Tribbles? Based on the fear of those with templates and use for gnomes and halfings, I'm guessing they're something like giant space hamsters? |
| Rickiel04-19-07, 06:44 PM | Worse....so...much worse than Giant Minature Space Hamsters! Oh, sure, they look and sound cute at first... Until you feed them... Then it's goodbye living space! |
| NoldorForce04-19-07, 09:02 PM | They were creatures from the original Star Trek series that someone picked up in an episode. Then they multiplied like crazy, at least until they died by eating some grain stores which had been poisoned by Klingons. I've never seen the episode, myself, but have read the synopsis. You can read more about it here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Trouble_With_Tribbles). Instead of merely reproducing, the vorpal tribble prefers to sit and make up various fantastic things. |
| Prak, the Mad04-20-07, 02:05 AM | and the half-fire tribble does an extra 1d6 fire damage when thrown at you. |
| penchant04-28-07, 12:15 PM | So exactly how much damage does a tribble sling bullet do? And would that be vile damage? I know! On a successful hit the tribble "disposes" of one potion or consumable magic item possessed by the target (even if it is in an extra dimensional space). The Tribble then divides and ends the world. |
| Prak, the Mad04-29-07, 04:50 PM | 1d4 bludgeoning. The real utility is puting s couple tribbles that have feasted quite well in a bag, and then throwing the bag at someone. Tribbles reproduce when no one's watching, so you may have thrown only two tribbles, but the target gets struck by 20... |
| Weiser_Cain05-01-07, 11:32 AM | Klingons should hunt down and kill any and all that would cast this spell. |
| yellowdingo05-03-07, 07:53 PM | *nod*, probably. Get your fluffy slippers here. Matching colours available...only one gp. |
| Geraturatu05-04-07, 06:59 PM | Ooooo... Tribble Slippers. I wonder if I could have mine enchanted. |

Oh, what is the world coming to when a D&D fan has never seen "The Trouble With Tribbles?!" :weep: In the Star Trek: The Animated Series episode "More Troubles, More Tribbles," the Klingons have developed a tribble predator called a glommer. In the original episode, however, Spock tells Cyrano Jones that he must have realized the consquences of removing the tribble from its predator-filled environment, so you hardly need to genetically engineer a new predator. In the Star Trek: Enterprise episode "The Breach," Doctor Phlox shows Hoshi a tribble and then proceeds to feed it to one of his lab animals. :D |
