| Kihon10-10-07, 05:23 PM | I'm currently Game Mastering an epic game which has a 25th level Paladin of Freedom. The game is going to develop to the point where the character channels the avatar of his diety. What I was thinking of doing was having him start 'changing' after that event - turning into a Paragon. Every level he gains after that point I was going to start adding in one of the Paragon abilities. I'm using the divine power that he channelled as an explaination of his new abilities slowly starting to show up. I'll try to use the 'least useful' paragon abilities to him first, working to the ones that are just awesome. Any thoughts on this game plan? |

Or is this person just special and all the others arent members of the cool kids club? If everyone is getting the same treatment and you dont think it will totally skew the adventure then its fine, if not... |

The two wizard types are on an 'ascension path' using the immortals handbook. The tiefling rogue just became a shade on the plane of shadow - or shall I say the long process of that transformation just finished as he rejoined the group. I guess I was wondering more about one power per level. There are about 20 things that a paragon template gives a character. Since he's already 25 - I was kind of thinking of making it 2 per level, but that seemed a bit much. The other characters in the group are all more powerful right now. I'm trying to catch the tank/leader up in power to the others. |

Either way, the LA is approximately +15, so give out the abilities over 15 levels. For one, +1 to every ability score at each level. That gives +15 to all at 15th. Same with the other bonuses - though you have to skip some levels for the +13 and +12 bonuses. Speed you can grant at 5th for double and 12th or so for triple. Natural armor every 3 levels. SLAs you can give 1 use of 1 per level every other level or so, since they get 3 at 3 per day finally, so you have to speed them up slightly. ROB |
