| LordPendragon06-01-07, 05:41 PM | I'm currently at level 13 as a pseudo-Cleric, and I know where I want my build to go for the next few levels, but I don't have much planned after that. I was wondering if you fine CO folks could offer any suggestions. Available Sources Basically anything printed by WotC, including Dragon and 3.0 material. House Rules - The Cleric has Favoured Soul spellcasting (including Cha dependancy), and only 1 domain - Cash donated to an appropriate cause will eventually be "reimbursed" by allowing the development of epic spells if enough has been donated throughout the campaign (by the end of the campaign, I expect to have enough saved up to develop 1 - possibly 2 - epic spells) - VoP has an epic progression, advancing only the abilities that have a recognizable pattern - Each character may begin the game with +2 LA worth of templates, for free - Each character may choose one flaw - Thrown weapons can be used to initiate a manoeuvre, at up to half their maximum range (2.5 range increments) Current Build Feral Draconic Human Favoured Cleric 4/Crusader 1/Bone Knight 8 Flaw - Unreactive (-6 init) Feats - Sacred Vow, VoP, Extend Spell, Initiate of Mystra, Persistent Spell, DMM: Persistent, Brutal Throw Bonus Exalted Feats - Nimbus of Light, Subduing Strike, Stigmata, Holy Radiance, and 2 other useless feats Str 26 (18 -> 24 + 2 VoP) Dex 8 (10 -> 8) Con 16 (12 -> 16) Int 12 (15 -> 11 + 1 Level) Wis 14 (12 -> 14) Cha 22 (14 -> 16 + 2 Level + 4 VoP) Patron Deity - Mystra (Magic domain) Pertinent spells known 2 - Close Wounds, Status, Shield other 4 - Delay Death, Revenance, Panacea 5 - Revivify 6 - Heal, AMF (Domain) Note - All spells are tied to magic, healing, protection, or resurrection. The only offensive spell is Searing Light, and I don't intend to add many more. Gear 1 Greatsword (Bonecraft) 1 Dagger 3 Javelins My current tactic is to start each day with a Persistent Delay Death on myself, and Extended Shield Other on all other party members. Eventually, I'll also have a Persistent Antimagic Field on myself, but until I get enough turning attempts, I'm using AMF normally as the need arises. No matter how much HP damage I take, I remain conscious (Kudos to LoP and his Cheater of Mystra), and continue to heal and prevent damage to my allies. After battle, I just wait for my fast healing to bring me back up to full from however far into the negatives I am. Also, the combination of Stigmata and Bone Knight (Con damage immunity) allows for full healing of all allies, once per hour; however, Stigmata has been Rule 0'd to never work on the user. In any case, levels 13-15 are going to be 2 more of Bone Knight, but after that I really don't have anything planned. The campaign is intended to last until around level 30, so there's a lot of room for other classes. I'd prefer not to lose more than another 2 caster levels, though, since after that Practiced Spellcaster won't be able to make up the difference. What would you do from here?? |
