If demogorgon was on Malcanthet's home plane of Shendilavri, could she be able to prevent him from planeshifting away?
In an upcoming adventure, she has invited demogorgon to her palace, and has arranged for the PC's to come there and slay him. She doesn't want him to escape, so could she forbid any type of planeshifting or teleporting from working, even from demogorgon?

Which is why he wouldn't go really. Actually, I think that a Wish can be used to transport you even through a Dimensional Lock. So assuming he has one of those left - which version of him are you using? FCI, Dragon 357, or dicefreaks, or your own?

By the RAW though, no, he could not plane shift, teleport, or gate, or astral project.

Dragon Magizine #357. I didn't know dicefreaks had a version of him? Do you have a link to this?

Sadly even if I could dig through the site for that version (I can't, roughly 90% of its members are currently locked out of the site following an attack on it), they would be grossly out of date (as he has undoubtadly been updated for HoTA).

I don't think the version would be very useful to you anyway, as IIRC the current plans have him running at 99 hit dice.

Entirely correct.

Entirely correct.

I presume the Iron Tower is better then that, though.

Which is why he sends an aspect (or avatar if you like) rather then his true essence. Do you think a being that has his Int & Wis, and been around for 1 million years, has not thought of things like this before?

There was a discussion on dicefreaks where it was "revealed" that every being in the Abyss is Demogorgon's avatar. It got deleted I think.

Thanks for the link.
I believe the possibility exists that on a special occassion Demogorgon would visit Malcanthets plane in his true essence since they are lovers and for hedonistic pleasures.
