It requires, among others, Ambidexterity, and Improved Spellcasting I'm not sure how much I can say about the class without breaking any rules. Ambidexterity and Improved Spellcasitng don't exist in 3.5, what should I replace them with? I broke it down to a TWF related feat, and maybe Spell Focus? I'm not sure what Improved Spellcasting did to begin with |

I'm not sure what Improved Spellcasting did to begin with Not looking this up in Dragon, so I'm not sure if some of this is reflected in other prerequisites. However, I would just remove Ambidexterity and I believe Improved Spellcasting should actually be Improved Spell Capacity. As I recall, the class continued to require taking the feat in order to actually cast their 5th to 9th level assassin spells. |

These were my notes on updating it - I think it qualifies as fair use....Not including any of the fluff: Hit Die: d6 Skill points: 6 + INT bonus Skills: As Assassin, plus Concentration, Knowledge (Arcana & The Planes), Profession. To qualify to become a Soulreaver, a character must fulfill all the following criteria: Alignment: Any evil Skills: Disguise: 12 ranks, Hide: 24 ranks, Knowledge (arcana): 12 ranks, Move Silently: 24 ranks. Feats: Ambidexterity (no longer applicable), Improved Critical, Improved Spellcasting (should be Improved Spell Capacity), Improved Two-Weapon Fighting, and Two-Weapon Fighting. Special: The character must be able to cast 4th-level assassin spells. Before becoming a soulreaver, the character must have been contacted by Lascer in a dream. This requires that the prospective soulreaver has already fulfilled all other feats and has successfully assassinated no less than ten targets in a single day; all of these assassinated victims must be at least CR 15. Once these prerequisites have all been met, there is a non-cumulative 1% chance each year that the prospective soulreaver is contacted by Lascer and offered the terrible secrets of the soulreaver's ways. If the prospective soulreaver is already a member of the Shadow Shoal, the chance of being contacted by Lascer rise to a 75% chance per year. If the prospective soulreaver agrees to become one of the chosen slayers of Lascer, he awakens and may take his first level of soulreaver at any point thereafter when he gains enough experience points to gain a level. If the prospective soulreaver refuses the offer or otherwise offends Lascer, he must make a Fortitude saving throw (DC 57) or be slain upon awakening. Class Features All the following are features of the soulreaver prestige class. Sneak Attack: +1d6 every 2 levels Improved Assassin Spells: Gets more spells on his spell list. Still needs to use ISC to get the spell slots to use these. 5th level: ethereal jaunt (was originally cleric5, now cleric7 - so this should move too), nightmare, slay living, teleport 6th level: circle of death, etherealness (was cleric7, now cleric9, so this should be 8th), harm, mislead 7th level: destruction, finger of death, shadow walk, teleport without error (greater teleport) 8th level: mind blank, power word kill, screen, trap the soul 9th level: imprisonment, soul bind, wail of the banshee, weird Double Death: Must be declared before death attack, 1/day at 2nd level, plus 1 every 10 levels. When performing a Death Attack, the victim must make 2 saves Bonus Feat: every 4 levels Vampiric Death: Must declare before death attack. 1/day at 6th level, plus 1 every 10 levels. Cannot combine with Double Death. When successfully slaying a victim, absorb some of the victim's soul to gain +6 Profane bonus to STR and CON, +6d6 temporary HP, all for 1 hour. Sudden Death: 1/day at 10th level, plus 1 per 10 levels. Can Death Attack as a full round action, not requiring 3 rounds of "studying" the victim. Still must be a sneak attack. ROB |
