Bill Gates would be more accurately portrayed under the d20 modern system, which would still place him as fairly high level.

Well, figure out the exchange rates between gps and dollars. The real world value of a gold piece the size of the coin in DnD would be valued around ~$100.

Last time I checked, he had $43,000,000,000. That makes his wealth at 430,000,000gps.
