| Staple03-12-07, 02:50 AM | 22nd level character starting gold: 1,200,000 (as per Epic Level Handbook) Cost of one live chicken: 2 copper (as per Player's Handbook, p. 112) Therefore, a level 22 character could theoretically begin play with 60,000,000 chickens (and nothing else) to his name. This is what I propose: 22th level Wizard. The wizard devotes roughly six months to repeated casting Genesis, creating a 4680 foot plane--probably enough space for 60,000,000 chickens stacked on top of each other. Now, the plan is for the Wizard's soul purpose to open rifts to the new plane, dubbed the Elemental Plane of Chickens, to drop torrents of chickens on his foes. The question is, how would he do so? I know Gate would work, but burning 9th level spells for cascades of chickens, as amusing as it would be, seems a bit inefficient. Is there any other way for the Poultrymancer to call forth his feathered friends? |
| Starmage2103-12-07, 08:36 PM | epic summoning spells. Chickens are probobly 1/8 or 1/16 of a CR. Create a new swarm type creature called a Chicken Horde. Summon it. |
| PhaedrusXY03-12-07, 08:48 PM | Ring Gates? Make an Epic spell to give them all some kind of hideous template (Pseudonatural?). |
| Starmage2103-12-07, 11:31 PM | Ring Gates? Make an Epic spell to give them all some kind of hideous template (Pseudonatural?). lol like the Summon Psuedonatural Housecat spell :D |
| WarDragon03-13-07, 12:57 AM | Nah, no need for an Epic spell. Just use the hideously broken polymorph any object to transform each chicken into a more powerful monster to unleash on your foes. Going by the "lizard to manticore" logic, it would last for 12 hours. |
| IrishRover03-13-07, 01:27 AM | Or--kill of the chickens, and use strange necromancy to get that dreaded undead chicken, the poultrygiest... |
| Monkeygod03-14-07, 12:20 AM | lol, dont mess around with Chickens man, i had to fight one in World of Warcraft. it was scary. |
| Ikyotojin03-14-07, 10:55 PM | "And the award for most interestingly warped idea goes to..." Thanks. I needed a new keyboard. I refuse to try and pick the remnants of a cheeseburger out of the old one. |
| Dethelas03-17-07, 12:04 AM | My DM ran us against deevolutionary frenzied berserkers. This template comes from the Quintessential Barbarian, and means that they are always under the effect of frenzy. Naturally, we used baleful polymorph on two of them. We now have two killer chickens that can't die. We figure that we could clean up taking them to cockfights. |
| Voldar_Mecorthio03-20-07, 09:02 PM | polymorph a rock to a great wyrm prysmatic dragon. It would last 20 minutes. |
