.Nets, can you cut your way out ? if so how many rounds... or can you ONLY 'Burst' out with a STR check or with an 'Escape artist' check?

What about the stats for a master work Net
or
Net made with silk rope?

The PHB list a net as having 5 hitpoints. So if you're entangled by a net use slashing weapon to cut it. If you got a good Str bonus then even with minimum damage you should be out of there no more than 2 rounds.

well, if the specific .net site is boring, you can easily cut out of there at the normal speed of your internet connection.

Oh yeah, this was the question I meant to ask last week, knew I forgot something...

I'd like some more opinions on this myself, since my group has picked up a net recently. It seems like bursting and escape artist attempts are far inferior methods of escaping from a net (at least at normal strength levels and lower level escape artist bonuses) as long as you have a slashing weapon. I know the SRD/PHB list 'Escape from a net' as a full round action that provokes an AoO. I'd include slashing the net to escape in this category as well.
