| Trevan012-08-05, 11:52 PM | I have a few questions. How would a +1 exit wound knockback exploding chakram behave? (all abilities are from Complete Warrior...I think. Not at home right now) Okay then, now what happens when you combine that with... ...Chakram Ricochet, from Champions of Ruin? ...Rolling a natural 20? ...Fellshot (Expanded Psionics Handbook)? What happens if you bullrush one creature into another? Or through another? And just to attach a rider question to these, can temporary hitpoints from two sources stack? Say, Aid and Vigor power? (Yes, I could ask somewhere else, but i'm just adding this as a quick "yes/no" question) Thanks in advance |

What happens if you bullrush one creature into another? Or through another? Your DM glares at you, and you feel it would be wise to make a new character. Anyway... The whole thing is a bunch of silly contradictions. Common sense tells us that a weapon cannot both ricochet and be propelled entirely through its target. Further, you can't claim magic as an out because Chakram Ricochet is an extraordinary ability. They don't work together, so we will disregard Chakram Ricochet. My limited understanding of physics tells me that a weapon that is propelled through a person without losing a significant amount of momentum would not naturally knock someone over. I could certainly be wrong here, and you could certainly claim magic as an out here. The Exit Wound, Knockback, Explosive chakram would deal the Explosive damage, then knock the first target back as far as possible then deal an additional 1d6 damage due to Exit Wound, then continue on to the person behind the original victim. Fell Shot would make it incredibly easy to hit the first target. A natural 20 would ensure that you hit everything in the line. When you bull rush one creature into another, the rules for movement through squares apply. This means that they can move through their allies spaces, but you cannot unless that particular creature is helpless. Of course, if the bull rush stops the creature in an ally's square, the Exit Wound property would not apply to that ally as the other creature is not demonstrably behind your original target. I think I'll stick with my original statement, though. |

So you think such an item shouldn't be allowed based on it being absolutely silly? I understand that (My DM said the same thing :) ), but I was trying to figure out how it would work anyway, since as far as I can tell, all of them can mechanically interact. Are you sure fellshot would only work on the first target? |

So you have learned to throw the chakram in such a manner that it blasts out if it's victim in just the right manner that it goes towards another enemy. the explosion propels it some times and the enchantment both keeps it moving and knocks down the target. sound good to me, no worse then some odd rules. |
