I was looking through the new MIC for magical weapon properties for my lance, when I came across the Sizing property. As a swift action command you can change your weapon to any size category.

I first thought that would only be useful for concealing large weapons by shrinking them, but I started thinking about it a little more.

With the throw anything feat, could you throw the greatsword and change it to Colossal for, I believe, 8d6 damage?

To the best of my knowledge, Throw Anything merely lets you throw a proficient weapon you are weilding as a ranged weapon. You cannot weild a two-handed sized for a creature larger than your size normally. Even with Monkey Grip or Powerful Build(or certain magic items) the largest weapon you can actually weild is only one size category larger than you are. You can resize the weapon to whatever you want, but you can't throw it if you can't weild it.

The primary use for it is for characters who have abilities to change size through shapechanging, for example lycanthropes or Druids.

Let me rephrase the question a bit.

Since the sizing property is swift activation (free action anytime during your turn), could you alter the size of the greatsword to colossal just as it is leaving your fingertips?

It would then drop like a rock and be pretty useless as a projectile.

or

I would also rule that when a sizing weapon leaves your hand, it automatically shifts to its original size.

Another example is the Goliath Barbarian with the substitution level that increases his size while raging. Mix that with Powerful Build and I hope to use a Huge greatsword soon

I would tend to agree and not allow that to work. I'm pretty sure you actually have to be touching it to change its size, and that your momentum built up by swinging a certain sized weapon would automatically just go "Floop" upon it getting bigger.

Now simply holding above someone and then just letting it drop...

"Behold, I can fly above you and bombard you with my mighty bag of sling bullets!"

"Uh, huh. Yeah."

"They're also Sizing sling bullets that I can make into humongous boulders."

"..."

No you don't, the substitution level states that you loose Powerful Build when you become large. The only thing you really gain is the reach of a large creature and a bit more strength.

hypothetical question if a monk/wrecker wearing an amulet of natural weapons with the sizing ability on it would they either be able to; (a) change the size of their entire body as a swift action from miniscule to insanely collosal or (b) would they only be able to change the shape of their hands and feet. for those not familiar the wrecker class, which is 3.5, allows you to wield larger weapons as if proficient. Now, I would have to lean towards option A because a monk's entire body is considered to be a weapon, whether it's a head-butt or a butt-butt so their entire body would get much much much much larger..... yes/no?

I would rule that Sizing simply can't be applied to a natural weapon.

Why? Because if you make major size changes to even just your arms, you should be getting "Reach" and the +1 sizing enchantment does not grant reach.

I can not think of a reasonable way to let the monk actually get bigger without granting them any reach at all.

So: No sizing on natural weapons/unarmed strikes.

Take Monkey grip :P and you could use a Heavy, Balanced Fullblade for even more chaos. Add Hidden talent with Expansion and you'll have even more fun.
