basic crap, that can be used fro interesting things.

1 - bags of flour: usefull in traps to give concealment(if only for 2 rounds). Use to outline invisible creatures nearby. Attack someone in the next square over to get it in their eyes and maybe cause them to sneeze.

2 - fishhooks: besides being great for fishing with. sew them into a net, and throw or drop it on enemies. for even more fun, soak it in oil 1st, then when they are caught, light it on fire.

3 - Rope: tie it in a noose, and tie the other end of the rope to your horses saddle, use it as a garote that doesnt draw attacks of oportunity. once you catch the opponent, slap your horse, see if he can resist a trip attack from a horse.

4 - Oil & some rags: Cover whatever bludgeoning weapon your using with rags, soak them in oil, and viola you got a torch that does more damage that 1d3, and that your proficient in.
(torches deal 1d3+1 fire damage, and count as improvised weapons[-4 attack for nonproficiency]) this should add 1 fire damage to your wapon & cause people hit by it to make ref saves or catch on fire.

I love these threads but they die soooo quickly...

By the way it's "voilą" not "viola"... ignorant Anglo-Saxon.

6) With alchemist's fire, tanglefoot bags, caltrops and nets all at the same time, beating ANYTHING becomes easier.

7) Tie a whistle to an arrow/bolt to make a signal

8) Arrows, oil-soaked fabric and fire for fire damage over long distances (I also rule -1 on attacks for the added weigth)

That's all I can think of for now.
