| FourColor11-10-06, 04:31 PM | I'm deciding on feats for a Half-Orc Brb1/ Ftr2. I think I've decided on: 1) Power Attack; 2) Cleave; and 3)Weapon Focus. Nothing fancy, I know, but I'm using only the three main books. Feat #4 relates to my primary weapon, which I have not decided on. If I pick Spiked Chain, the feat goes to a proficiency. If I pick Falchion, the feat is up in the air. What do you all think for the feats and the weapon choice? I like the chain for the 10' reach, but the falchion is great for Improved Critical later on. Thanks for your feedback. FC |

Thanks for your feedback. FC If you are going for a spiked chain (and as cheezy as this is), get Combat Reflexes (if you have at least a Dex 14), Combat Expertise (if you have Int 13 or better) and then Improved Trip (Int 13 or better) for your first 3 feats. And as your 4th feat, Improved Disarm or Weapon Focus. If your Dex sucks and/or your Int isn't up to 13 or better, and you STILL want the spiked chain, then do: Improved Initiative, Power Attack, Weapon Focus, then maybe Cleave. If your Dex and/or Int aren't up to snuff, though, I'd say go for the falchion, with Power Attack, Cleave and Weapon Focus. Future choices could include: Great Cleave, Weapon Specialization (if you're gonna get to 4th level fighter), Improved Critical (is boss with this weapon) and maybe Improved Sunder, along with the Greater Focus/Spec feats, depending on how many fighter levels you're gonna want. Also, I've always liked Quick Draw, myself, or you could get Endurance with the intent on getting Diehard later, which is a pretty cool feat. |

| FourColor11-10-06, 06:27 PM | My stats aren't high enough for the clever stuff. I'm going to go with the falchion and Power Attack, Cleave, WF, and Extra Rage. Thanks a lot. FC |

You can never have enough hit points as a front line fighter. Nothing makes a big, beefy fighter quake in their boots like a DM saying..."make a Will save." |

| Karak_Nechot11-11-06, 02:06 AM | The Iron Will I can readily see, but I still think that Improved Toughness is really not worth the feat when you already have d12 hp. I'd go for something with more...smash power. |
