Is their one? If not is their a way to get one? Perferably without making yourself large? I know you could always dual weild bastard swords, and take the appropriate feats but I was wondering about a large or exotic (or exotic large) d10 double weapon. Perhaps I need to be a certain class or feat?

Custom items will be appreciated and admired but unused as the DM does not allow custom weapons,

Thanks!

They changed it from the card then... Thank the Gods.

A to have a 1d10/1d10 double weapon you need to beconsidered large. Either by racial ability or monkey grip feat comboed with oversided weapon fighting. So that makes you weild a large version of a double weapon.

Gythkas are 1d8/1d8 exotic for medium or 2d6/2d6 for large and are in either savage species or the third monster manual.

They are 1d10 double weapons, but crit only on a natural 20 for *2 damage. So its quite balanced, IMO. XPH paging earth to call RedPersian...;)

They were 2d6/2d6 in 3.0 (check Monster Manual II, they're racially favoured weapons of the Thri-Keen who can weild two at a time) but they were downgraded in the XPH. Still, though, even with 20/x2 crit 1d10 damage is not bad for a double weapon.

Its okay I don't roll crits anyways... I get them on me but Its a no go on rolling them. XPH after work!

I suspect then I would have to take the full TWF tree as well as monkey grip in order to use a large on of these?

Thanks guys!

"Its okay I don't roll crits anyways... I get them on me but Its a no go on rolling them. XPH after work!"

This may be obvious, but crits are more likely to be successful when you have an easier time hitting your opponent. So if you are a rogue with less bab that could explain why you never crit.

Take the extreme example of an opponent that you just hit with a 20. To crit with that weapon, you need to roll 20 followed by another 20. That is a 1 in 400 chance to crit!!!

Compare to the extreme example of an opponent that you just hit with a 2. You still need a 20 to hit, but now you only need a 1 or a 2 on your confirmation roll. That is slightly worse than a 1 in 20 chance to crit :)

Now where's the 2d6 20/x2 exotic one handed weapon to balance this out?

I don't believe you can monkey grip a double weapon's offhand part.

1d10/1d10 Exotic Two Handed Double Weapon 20x2
approx 100% so may be ok.

The fact that EPH p14 has it called Cythka is more.

Now where's the 2d6 20/x2 exotic one handed weapon to balance this out?

there's some kind of barbed chain or something in savage species, (I don't recall the exact name) that was 2d6 damage on a one handed weapon. (if my memory is accurate)

3.0 material though

"Now where's the 2d6 20/x2 exotic one handed weapon to balance this out?"

Is there even a 2d4 one handed weapon anywhere?

2d4 one handed is the flindbar from MMIII

Also, the WarMace is a 1d12 (not quite 2d6, but close) in Complete Warrior

Doesn't the warmace have a -1 penalty to attack? Or is it that you can only attack once per round? Or am I thinking of another weapon?

At any rate, an exotic weapon dealing 2d6 x2 damage in one hand it perfectly balanced, and wouldn't require anything extra (e.g., the -1 attack penalty, which I think is pretty dumb).

Warmace gives a minus to AC in rounds you use it to attack as it is "hard to recover" from swinging it.

Once per round is the Sugolin or something like that from Frostburn. You can get a feat to use it like a normal weapon, though...
