2 attacks with a longbow? [Archive] - Wizards Community

Can a level 7 fighter make 2 attacks with a longbow?
I think not, because then the feat Manyshot would be useless.

07-10-06, 03:39 AM Uh, yeah they can. To do so, they must use the full attack action, which is a full round action. manyshot takes only a standard action leaving you with a move action.

07-10-06, 04:41 AM Spears act exactly like any other melee weapon. Crossbows are a bit difficult, since you have to reload them. You can make as many attacks per round as your BAB allows with a Light Crossbow, but only if you have the Rapid Reload feat.

Fire is as fast as you can pull the trigger, then combine it with rapid fire.

So 7th level fighter could fire it twice a round at +7/+2

Or with the Rapid Fire feat at +5/+5/+0

What is with crossbows, spears and so on?

Crossbows allowing multiple attacks as part of a full attack require either a Repeating Crossbow, the Rapid Reload Feat, or similiar. It is hard to get off multiple attacks because reloading often takes a move action or longer.

Thrown weapons are normally limited to one attack per round. That is because it usually takes a move action to draw a weapon to replace the one just thrown. If you have the Quickdraw feat you may make as many thrown weapon attacks as your BAB and feats will allow.
