If you base it off your BAB, then a four-armed character with a BAB of +6/+1 would get four attacks (attacks of +6 and +1 with each bow), if I'm following your logic correctly. |

So it is. It's been a while since I've taken a look at the monster feats. So yes, you'd want to take multiweapon fighting to reduce the penalties for fighting with two bows -- you can always use them both without the feat, but you'd take heavy penalties. But it's the same principal that I said before ... in order to attack with two bows, it'd be two-weapon/multiweapon fighting, not based off your BAB. |

Multi- or two-weapon fighting doeesn't come into the equation if you have multiple attacks due to high BAB and you make only those attacks. If your BAB is +6/+1, you can make your +6 attack with any weapon you have available and you can make your +1 attack with any weapon you have available, even if it's a different weapon. |
| draconic_swine03-08-06, 12:31 PM | Oh yeah, I forgot that you can use different weapons if you have iterative attacks. My group didn't realize this before we found about it from these boards. However, I still think that multiweapon fighting fights what the OP wants most closely. If he's just going to use an iterative attack to fire the second bow, there isn't much point to it. Since he can draw a new arrow as a free action, the first bow can use all the iterative attacks anyway, and he'd be better off wielding a melee weapon or two with the extra arms so he can threaten. |

I was wrong, the monster I referenced does not have multiweapon fighting or twf. He just has wpn specialization and wpn focus(longbow) point blank blank shot, and maybe precise shot and the book is MM3 not MM2, but he does have a high enough BAB to make more than one attack, so maybe thats all you need if you want to take the penalties. If your monster does not have a high enough BAB to make more than one attack I dont know how you would get him to make 2 attacks in the same round without twf or mwf. I did notice that both of the monsters attacks were at the same BAB which does not make sense because the only I know to do that would be twf or mwf. He may feat made just for him that I overlooked, or maybe he was supposed to have twf or mwf but it never got put in the book. I dont know how much can be put on the boards regarding info from the books so I will give you an example. example: The BAB is +6/+1, and his dex is 20 so the monster attacks with two bows as his full attack at +11/+11. I would think it would be +9/+9 with twf or mwf assuming you could get away with the only a -2 penalty. |
| gbnogkfs03-08-06, 07:30 PM | to make a long story short: without twf feat(s) - penalty of: -10/-6 with twf feat(s) - penalty of: -4/-4 |
| concerro03-08-06, 09:04 PM | to make a long story short: without twf feat(s) - penalty of: -10/-6 with twf feat(s) - penalty of: -4/-4 that's what i thought to thats why i was wandering why the bab was so high without the feats. |
