how do you adjust the price on armor for pc's whith multable limbs ?

also it says in the xph(pg.14) a thri-kreen can weild two gythkas at once as double weapons due to its four arms, but takes peniltys as if its off-hand weapon were a one handed weapon not a light weapon.
my question is how can a thri-kreen use two gythkas if double weapons (if my memory serves) are used cross body, and (agean if my memory serves) you cant weild two cross boddy weapons at once?

The thrikeen is still reasonable humanoid in form, so it really shouldn't cost more than a regular suit of armour. :P

Really? Where's this rule from?

Just aside if you mean buying armour for thrikreen - I did not think they wore armour - whether it was simply not practical or culturaly they don't like it... Perhaps that was just Darksun?

As a cultural limitation, Dark Sun thri-kreen didn't ever wear armor, but there's nothing physically stopping them from doing so in other settings. And though they're more or less humanoid, I think they're unusual enough in form to justify have to pay a little extra for armor. Besides the four arms, a chitinous body doesn't exactly wear plate mail the same way a fleshy human would.

Wielding two gythkas would seem to be kind of awkward, but then again a standard humanoid wielding two weapons has a little trouble without special training, too. It takes a feat for thri-kreen to effectively do two gythkas at once, so that's how they pull it off: extra practice.
