ok, as you can guess from this post I have a REALLY messed up delemah I need help with. the short version: I need help designing Legacy abilitys to convert a magic item into a legacy item.

the long version:

Because my girlfriend and I are into the D/s livestyle (something which i dont want to hear any whining about because it is no more based squairly on sex as a gay/lesbian relationship. please dont start nagging me because of this) anyways because we are into this lifestyle, we decided our characters for our main campain should be too since they were married anyways. at the time her character was a bard, and we were using 3.0, so my character gave hers a choker of eloquence +10 as a gift (we called it a collar of elopuince, but it did the same thing).

anyways, the problem is that ever since I made my Legacy axeand tryed it out for the first time the DM has decided that to balence things out with the other players that they should each get ONE legacy item to replace one existing item if they wished, as long as they clearedit with him first to make sure that they were not too much of a step up for him to handle. well most everyone else picked the items i knew they would, and in fact im the one stuck designing said items, but my girlfriend decided that because her characters collar was an important symbolic item with sentamental value akin to her wedding ring that she should make that her legacy item. so now im stuck with a few things to ponder, and i thought id ask here for help.

#1: have there been any changes from 3.0 to 3.5 that may have changed the choker of eloquince (see arms and equipment guide) in any important way?

#2: what level legacy item should the item be? lesser or greater? most other party members have greater but the choker of eloquince she has only provides up to a +10 check on preform. if memory serves thats lesser, not greater.

#3: what abilitys would fit this choker? I doubt that any combat or damage dealing abilitys would work, so it would probably help to know what other things might work for an item with flavor like this.

I know alot of you are going to say I gave too much information about things you didnt need to knw, but i think that they are relient. and i know alot of you are going to say i should figure it out on my own, and your right, but im tired and some help wouldnt hurt me right now. AND I know some of you are going to laugh because we put too much of ourselves into these specific characters and obsess a bit. to that i say, yoru right, its probably a bad thing in the long run as far as RP goes, but its fun and it makes things interesting.

thank you in advance for anyone with any advice on this
