I have a barbarian with a greatsword and an animated buckler. Do I still take a -1 to my attacks?

As per RAW, I would say yes, but may be you want to house rule it to 'no'. Another question related to yours is what happens if your THF barbarian gets an animated normal shield? He should take no penalties for that ... weird rules there are in our big gaming world.

Hm, any comments on my response?
I mean, it's very weird if you got no penalties with an animated shield, but got penalties with an animated buckler.
