A&EG is 3E, not 3,5. And, IIRC, there were no racial weapons (as in name of race=proficiency) in 3E.

simen..that's why he is asking for 3.5 rules..BECAUSE they aren't in 3.0..he is just trying to update his rules and there is nothing wrong with that.

I personally make every weapon with a race's name in it be a martial weapon to that race. So if you are a gnome wizard a gnome calculus is a martial weapon..too bad you would have to spend a feat to be able to use it though. :)

Exactly. There are no 3,5 rules for it. Everything else is a houserule. Of course, there are some variant rules (in CW I think) adressing this matter.

it is treated as a martial weapon for all those of gnome blood, including gnomes and mongrelfolk, which is why mongrel folk are hilarious
