| Thelon Fairblade02-21-05, 02:58 PM | FRCS had a bunch of alternate metals that did 1 extra point of damage of a particular element. The prices seemed a bit high, but maybe okay -> basically about 1500 gp per weapon. Are those prices still accurate for 3.5, do you think? I was also thinking of exapnding the list to include metals that were impregnated with positive or negative energy (prompted by RMGCLF's anit-undead weapon). For example, a sword that inflicts an extra 1 damage from positive energy, 2 to undead, no bonus to constructs or objects. Likewise, a darkmetal that inflicted 1 damage from negative energy, -1 against undead. Thinking fire, cold, acid, electricity = 1500gp sonic, positive, negative = 2500gp These metals, worked into armor, might provide a single point (or maybe 2) of elemental resistance as appropriate. |
| God of Slivers02-21-05, 03:20 PM | Unless the stuff in MoF and FRCS have been reprinted in the PGtF they are considered 3.5 compatable. Just make sure you have any current errata and you're fine. |
| tarkin02-21-05, 03:25 PM | I like the idea. Note, I think armor for Sonic should grant +1 sonic resistance. Positive Energy enhanced Armor could possibly grant DR 1/evil. and Negative Energy enhanced Armor could grant DR 1/Good. |
