madbob14 10-09-06, 12:52 PM	I'm a rogue lvl 11 and our dm just recently as part of the story line let each of us spend 40,000 on any one item upon his approval. This item can be morphed into any slot. I already have a ring of invisibility and protection. Was thinking about a mithril breastplate +5 for a total ac of 29 but not sure what to spend the gold on. I can spend it on any wondrous item or any item really from any book (official dnd books). Plz help! Any ideas would be good.

chucky 10-09-06, 01:04 PM	No slot ring of invisibility. Normally 20k but no slot doubles the cost. This gives you invis when you want and does not prevent you from using the rings you allready have.

Or better yet, add the Invisibility quality to an existing ring and it only costs 1.5 times more - 30,000gp - instead of twice as much. That said, I'd strongly go with a Ring of Freedom of Movement - while monsters and BBEGs can grapple you, you automatically break their grapple on your turn, plus the ring is good against area-effect spells that trap or bind you.

Cloak of resistance +5 If you want offence, you could get yourself a +1 Holy adamantine dagger/shortsword of (energy type) Since.. most things you'll be fighting will be evil for that extra +2d6, whats not to like about rolling 1d4+1+str +3d6 damage without even sneak attacking?

I'd opt for an adamanine +1 holy undead bane short sword, a scarab of protection or a mithril +1 light fortification soulfire buckler I play a wizard and grew very fond of my "Quick slippers" that function as a lesser rod of quicken. What did the others take?
madbob14 10-09-06, 04:20 PM	hehe ya it is "THAT" campaign. dont ruin it though!! most likely going to get a vest of freedom of movement. Since things in this campaign love to grapple me and swallow i think that would be the best choice. That or some kind of mithril breastplate....still debating. The others are still debating also. One of them is a psionic warrior choosing an item that reduces his point activation ( we just laughed)
Darnak 10-10-06, 03:19 PM	8 Immovable Rods! :P Well 1 Item maybe a Lavendar abd Green Ioun Stone. it's a nice lil item at 11th you will not have anyone hit you with a spell for a good lil bit.
