I Have a Incarnate 15 / Incarnum Blade 3 Rilkan and I am trying to make a new sword. I have Craft(Weapon Smithing) = 23, and Craft Magic Arms and Armor Feat, and my Essentia Pool = 16. Here is a list of things I have to make my weapon.

1. Raw Falchion Materials
2. Masterwork Componets
3. Raw Magic Materials
4. 25125 gp
5. 2000 xp
6. 25 days
7. 4 Essentia

Can I make a +7 Soulbound Falchion?

Straight off, not knowing the rules, no.

For one, you're not level 20 - Hence, your weapon can't have an enhancement bonus of +5 (even if your DM is allowing this, you'll be now using epic pricing rules).

Not sure what Soulbound does, so, I wouldn't know on that part.

your effective caster level is 18, which divided by 3 gets you 6. You weapon could there for reach the pre-epic cap of +5. Until you reach level 21 or higher, AND get the Epic Feat of Craft Epic Arms and Armor, you can not go above that.

Looking at your money, you only have enough money to make a +5 total equivalent weapon (half the purchase cost: http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/magicWeapons.htm)

so take 5, subtract the + equivalent of soulbound (example:Holy is +2 equivalent) and that's the maximum +2 of yoru weapon. Again, using Holy as an example, you coudl make a +3 Holy weapon.

May be this is how it should work

First I will make a masterwork weapon.

1. Raw Falchion Materials
2. Masterwork Componet
3. 125gp
4. Craft DC 20

Now that should make

+1 Falchion (Masterwork)

Next I will make it into a Magic Weapon

1. +1 Falchion (Masterwork)
2. 25000gp
3. 2000xp
4. 25 days

Now that should make

+5 Falchion (Magic)

Then I will make it into a Soulbound Weapon

1. +5 Falchion (Magic)
2. 4 Essentia

Now that should make

+5 Soulbound Falchion (Greater)

------------------------------------------------------------

Now my base Essentia Capacity for level 18 is 4.
Now I can add up 4 essentia to a greater soulbound weapon as a swift action. Now when I do that the +5 Soulbound Falchion it will get a +4 Essentia Bonus(DC = 10+WIS MOD+ Essentia Invested)

So when I do that, could get up to +9 to Attack Rolls and Damage Rolls if they miss the saving roll?

Ok, found soulbound. Her'es the problem with what you did:

As a +5 weapon, you no longer have any money.

a +5 weapon has a market value 50,000 GP (ie, it's what you would pay to buy one from a magic weapon maker)
http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/magicWeapons.htm

It costs half of that in gold to make it, as shown here: http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/creatingMagicItems.htm

so that eats up all yoru 25,000 gold.

a Greater Soulbound weapon has a value equivalent of +3

instead of a +5 weapon, you can make a +2, greater soulbound weapon.

If you then invest +3 essentia to it, you increase it's Enhancement bonus from +2 to +5. As per the first paragraph of "effect" on page 111, this ability can NOT raise the enhancement bonus above +5.

For what you are trying to do, it would be better to create a +1, Greater Soulbound, Keen Falchion. You then invest 4 essentia into the falchion, increasing it's bonus from +1 to +5

For the cost of a normal +5 weapon, you have a +(1 to 5, depending on invested essentia) keen weapon with a minor bonus based on which chakra you bind it to.

MoI does not include rules for epic soulbound weapons (which a +7 soulbound weapon would be). However, it's easy enough to extrapolate rules an epic soulbound weapon from the existing nonepic version: it would be very similar to how they did rules for the regular enhancements.

Still, however, you won't be able to create it at your current level. You're going to need to be epic for this one.

Now I understand, but can a soulbound weapon be keen? If it was keen, would I lose keen if I chakra bind the weapon? I do not have the Split Chakra feat :(

you could have a Weapon above +5 bonus It even states it in the DMG

Granted you cant make it as noted but you could find one in a drop

It use's this as an example of why the DMG shows +10 on weapons

+3Dagger with Speed (A +4) Would be considerd a +7 weapon and would cost 98000 gold

However in reading this Tread i beleve i now have a question which just i know cant be ... but i cant think of why

Could you make a Magic item Not use it come back make it better over time slowly as you gain gold?

For Example you take a +2 Long Sword (8315) you dount use it ... after a while you take the long sword and add the enchament Holy on it a +2 bonus ... would it cost 8000 GP To put it on or am i right in thinking it would take 32000gp to put it on?

no, you can NOT have a weapon with a bonus above +5. The DMG Does NOT show +10 weapons. Right on the weapons table is a note:

2 A weapon can’t actually have a bonus higher than +5. Use these lines to determine price when special abilities are added in.

You can have a weapon with a bonus EQUIVALENT above +5 (most weapon abilities have +# equivalent for cost & weapon cap) to a maximum fo +10 equivalent. (enhancement bonus & other abilities combined)

the above longsword would cost (32,000 - 8000)= 24,000 Gold to upgrade.

That's correct as far as ordinary magic weapons are concerned, but after ordinary magic weapons there are epic weapons (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/epic/magicItems/weapons.htm#epicWeaponBasePrice) which are not limited in their enhancements and enhancement equivalents.
