I have a creature with a +8 to dex, he is lawful evil and medium. Which armor would be good for him? I could cheese it and just make a demonic version of the celestial armor but are there any out there that already exist?

Thanks,

Something light and made of mithril maybe to be even lighter?

off the top of my head: mythril chain shirt, and what does alignment have to do with armor?

Mythral Chain Shirt of Nimbleness.

If only I could remember the source of Nimbleness. But I'm pretty sure it adds +2 to the max dex.

Correct. Magic of Faerun p.137

I think Nimbleness is in Magic of Faerun and is the equivalent of a +1 bonus. If I recall it also lowers the armor penalty as well.

I knew that if I didn't put in alignment someone would suggest celestial armor.

I could understand not wanting it for thematic reasons, but note that it is normally not even visible under normal clothes.

I like spider silk. +3 armor bonus, +8 max dex.

Maybe if the armour has Protection Against Evil or Good or something, he doesn't want a negative level.
And the only armour that lets you have a Max Dex Bonus is Padded, which only gives you a +1 AC bonus, but that's without enchantments of any kind.

Well, Gnome Twist Cloth from Races of Stone has no Max Dex. That could work.

As mentioned earlier, masterwork spidersilk shirt is probably the best, +3AC, max dex+8, no armour check penalty.:)

I would say a Mithral Shirt +1 Nimbleness would be better...
+5 AC (1 from magic), +8 dex. Cost: 5100

I assume nimbleness is some enhancement which increases the max dex cap of armour?:P (see - this is how behind in splatbooks I am...:weep: )

Where's the SpiderSilk shirt from?

There's one in an old issue of dragon(297?) - the one with the drow on the cover. It might have been reproduced in a latter splatbook, but I can't be sure.:P

Or have your dm make an evil celestrial armor, call it fiendish armor.

Sweet, thanks for all the replies folks.
Fiendish (celestial) armor it is. We are making it out of firebronze, or firebrass (something like that) in eberron. Same stats as mithril but cooler looking
