06-13-06, 08:42 PM ok, couple questions as a DM
1) i like the surge weapons from DMG 2. if i wanted to make a speed surge weapon that gave you one extra attack at your full BAB per day during a full attack, how much should that cost?
2) how much should a ring of mage armor that casts it constantly on the user cost? or any other magic item for that matter. we found out that it can be constructed for as little as 2000, but that makes no sense, since a ring of protection +1 is 2000 GP
3) last, i recall a rule *somewhere* that said that you can fight with a net and trident at the same time while dual weilding it. any idea where this source may have been?

2) The first step in pricing magic items it to compare it with something similiar. A ring that gives a perment mage armor effect (+4 ac) would be comparable to Bracers of Armor +4 (or +4 armor for that matter) and would cost 16,000 gp.

3)again, not a clue.

06-14-06, 10:43 AM 1) Speed is a +4 enchantment. How is what you ask for different from Speed?

2) +4 force armor costs 16,000 gp. The spell used is irrelevant.

3) The feat you are looking for is very strangely named. ;)

But if you look in Complete Warrior, you will find something called:

Net and Trident

The advantage over normal TWF is that you do not take the -2 penalty to hit and get a 5ft step. The limitations are 1) you only get one off hand attack with the net (i.e. you can't use ITWF or GTWF, and 2) If you miss with the net, you don't get your main hand attacks at all.
