| Mr_Sandman06-23-07, 01:46 AM | Well, im rolling out my new rakshasa character and i need a good blade that compliments my regality. The greatsword (typical choice for slayers everywhere) is gaudy, and the longsword is just plain. The scimitar is quite elegant. Originally i was thinking the falchion, but it seems too big for my noble rakshasa. Bows are out, due to the overabundance of spells i have at my discretion. Any suggestions? Keep in mind, most of it is for show, but it does need to be functional. |
| Koretsu06-23-07, 08:01 AM | Lazy weapons? Go with a Falcion with the Dancing enchant. Nothing says Lazy like having magic swing your sword for you. ;) |
| Kn1ves06-23-07, 09:02 AM | Go for a great scimitar, it's a large intimidating weapon but still elegant in it's design. It's also one handed. |
| runestar06-23-07, 09:18 AM | Rapier is inferior to the scimitar if you do not plan on picking up weapon finesse, though I guess it fits the aristocratic flavour of the raksasha though.:) |
| The Amazing Dancing Bear06-23-07, 12:13 PM | I thought this would be sort of Tim Burton-esque, given the idea of dancing previously suggested. What about a +x dancing balanced fullblade? A sword so gigantically huge it drops the PCs jaws for them before killing them. And the rakshasa can just hang back and shoot spells at people. |

| Mr_Sandman06-24-07, 09:05 AM | well, first off this rakshasa IS my PC, so dancing enchantments are out of the question. Second, there isnt anything wrong with a longsword, its just not as regal-looking as other weapons. It is indeed a wonderful weapon, but it doesnt fit the flavor of my character. The scimitar is a lovely weapon, and i seriously consider it. |
| lint trap06-24-07, 02:44 PM | I'd opt for the Saber, from FCS 97. It combines the functionality of the Longsword with the elegant curve of a Scimitar. The +1 bonus while mounted shows this to be an officer's weapon, set apart from the common adventurer rabble. It's not just a weapon, it's a statement. |
