Brax77 09-24-07, 07:06 AM	Hello all, I have a question about multiple attacks: An 8th lvl rogue also prestiged class 8th lvl assassin..... This character also has some feats that might help: two-weapon fighting/improved two weapon fighting/ and also greater two weapon fighting. How many attacks is the above mentioned toon allowed to make in a full attack round?....and....on another note....if this toon used the feat: power attack in this seris of combat....could anyone out there also explain the ins and outs?...:confused: Sorry for the n00bish questions...but....we are quite an isolated group of D&D players..and argue over interpretation of the rules. :weep: Thnx all, Brax
ShadowF 09-24-07, 07:17 AM	Would have 6 attacks at BAB of 10/10/5/5/0/0 for TWF as a level 16 rouge type considering that you have consistant BAB levels. Major outs of using Power Attack is that you probably won't hit anything using it. Even with Weapon Finesse considering the encounters you should be facing. If attacking commoners go for it.

Talon Stormwarden 09-24-07, 08:35 AM	His BAB is +12 (6 from rogue8 and 6 from assassin8). As usual this gives 2 extra iterative attacks, so +12/+7/+2. The 3 two weapon fighting feats give him 3 extra attacks with the offhand, one at normal, one at -5 and one at -10 (looks just like normal iterative attacks). Assuming he's using a light weapon in his offhand he'll have a -2 on all attacks when two weapon fighting. So, as ShadowF says, that comes to 10/10/5/5/0/0, not counting other to hit bonuses such as str (or dex with weapon finesse), magic, bard songs, platypus bonuses, etc. Power attack does subtract from every attack, even attacks of opportunity you take after your turn. If, as assumed above, he's using a light weapon in his off hand, he can't add the damage to his off hand attacks because Power Attack doesn't work with light weapons (though the attack penalty still applies). Hope that explains it all in a little more detail for ya. :)

Along a similar vein of multiple attack questions, what if the above-mentioned rogue/assassin had a +3 weapon in his primary hand and no weapon in his off-hand (for simplicity). Would his BAB +12 give him four attacks? (+15/+10/+5/+0) What about a +3 from the weapon focus and specialization feats? It basically comes down to these two questions for me: Does a weapon's enhancement bonus affect how many attacks can be taken? Does a weapon focus/specialization feat's attack bonus affect how many attacks can be taken?

Nothing else ever affects the number of iterative attacks.
