I'm not sure if this is possible, but I'd love to find out if anyone has seen a rule for this.

I play a half giant barbarian. I'm interested in developing his unarmed attacks and grappling.

Are there any feats that would let me do things that a savage, raging barbarian might do while fighting unarmed. Things like ripping off the arms of my enemies and beating them with it, etc.

Yes, it's savage, but so is my barbarian! :D

So you want to sunder your opponent's arm and then use it as an improvised weapon?

Or would that fall under disarm? :rimshot:

Either way, I'd recommend that you get the feat Improved _____, to get rid of that annoying AoO.

Look at the Reaping Mauler Prc in CW, but yeah, IUS and Improved Grapple are your friends.
Hmm, Dis-arming people, IIRC there is a feat that lets you rip your own limbs off in SS, but you need Regeneration, so I would make it a STR check(maybe opposed by a STR or CON check) if you have someone pinned

I don't know about ripping off people's arms and beating them to death with them (the closest I've come is ripping a loose iron bar off an animated gate and stabbing a mage with it), but a recent grappling article had some suggested rules for doing things like bodyslamming opponents with grapple. I think it was one of skip's all about grappling articles.

Ripping off someone's arms is enough to kill most creatures/people. It is effectively bringing someone down to 0 hit points.

Beating them with the arms is just flavor stuff - it's not like you think it is going to do "extra" damage to beat them with their arms instead of your own arms.

If you absoluetely wanted some kind of feat, this is what I would propose:

Gory Kill:
Pre Requsite: the ability to Rage at least twice/day.

Benefit: When you bring someone to 0 or less hitpoints, you may make a strength check opposed by the victim's Constition. If you succeed, as a free action you may rip off their arms and use them as weapons doing 1d6 bludegenoing damage. You are proficient with using the arms as a weapon.

Special: You may only do this against a corporeal creature. Creatures without a Constition use their Strength instead.

That would be pure flavor, no feats or mechanics involved.

Player - "I use my grapple check to deal damage to the enemy *wins check*, I do *rolls damage* 15 damage."
*DM notes the enemy was at 4 HP, so is slain*
DM - "With a savage yank, you pull his arm right off his body and slam it into his head, cracking the skull and snapping his neck."

Kind of like hitting somebody in the head - it's fully abstracted, you describe it however you want.

It is funny, that was the first thing I thought of when I started reading the post

"here chewie,chewie,chewie"
[Chewbacca growls]
C-3PO: It was a fair move. Screaming about it won't help you.
Han Solo: Let him have it. It's not wise to upset a Wookie.
C-3PO: But sir, nobody worries about upsetting a droid.
Han Solo: That's because droids don't pull people's arms out of their sockets when they lose. Wookies are known to do that.
C-3PO: I see your point, sir. I suggest a new strategy, R2: let the Wookie win.

I loved that scene.
