| Drake_the_Windseeker07-07-05, 11:53 PM | I wasn't sure if something like this had been made yet, but I couldn't find anything like it, so I decided to post it. WARNING: Yes, I created this on a whim, after seeing "Batman Begins" and as more of a creative idea than actually trying to make a USEFUL weapon/device. Exotic Weapon - Melee Gauntlets of the Ninja: These gauntlets are strange weapons, comprised of black padded material, with several sharp spikes coming out at an angle, pointing in the direction of the elbows. These items are Monk weapons and can be used in a Flurry, and the wearer of these gauntlets, if proficient, can use these gauntlets to assist their movements by scraping the claws on various surfaces, giving them a +2 to Tumble checks. Cost: 10 gp Damage: 1d4 Critical: x2 Range Increment: N/A Weight: 2 lb Type: Piercing |
| NeueRegel07-07-05, 11:58 PM | Actually, I think somebody did beat you to it. Seems that I recall a thread like this a week or two ago, same inspiration. I think the guy also included something about a disarming bonus using the tines to catch blades. No memory of the thread title, sorry. NeueRegel |
| OracleYori07-08-05, 12:28 AM | Yeah- that was a long thread by the time it was over- and i would suggest a mod of at least +2 for the tumble help and the other thread was based on making it an exotic type of buckler/gauntlet |
| Edymnion07-08-05, 01:17 AM | Honestly? Sounds like Spiked Guantlets with differant flavor text. Weapon Equivolency is your friend... |

NeueRegel Yeah, I'm not surprised. *shrug* It gave me something to do with my free time to create this. |

| tarkin07-08-05, 11:04 AM | I would reword it as follows, as it is clearly not "unarmed combat", it is a weapon So change the "unarmed combat" wording to: These items are Monk weapons and can be used in a Flurry. |

| Knights_Disciple07-09-05, 01:45 PM | Interesting weapon. I would propose an alternate, more of a bracer type peice. No damage, keep the tumble check +, and add a disarm bonus and a sunder bonus (remember, he snapped a sword with it in the movie). Maybe...extra cost for one or more of these functions on bracers of armor? |
